What is your favorite Quote or Saying?
There are various quotes or sayings that I have heard or read during the course of my life, that have captured my attention. Some of these have even influenced my life in some way. One of my favorites is: "What is Honor? Honor is what no man can give you, and what no man can take away. Honor is a man's gift to himself." What is your favorite Quote or Saying?
The PUPIL who does not surpass his Master, fails his Master.

It is not from the benevolence of the butcher, the brewer, or the baker that we expect our dinner, but from their regard to their own interest.

Here is a couple off the top of my head...
"Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends."
Jesus, John 15:13
"Thus conscience doth make cowards of us all"
Hamlet in "Hamlet" Shakespeare
"Cry 'Havoc' and let slip the dogs of war"
Marc Anthony in "Julius Caesar" Shakespeare
"I'm a Mog, half man, half dog, I'm my own best friend!"
John Candy (Barf) "Space Balls"
"It's just a flesh wound!"
Monty Python & Holy Grail
"I am your Density"
McFly sr. in "Back to the Future II"
GREAT TOPIC!!!!

Look after the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves.
Spose it would translate
Look after the cents and the dollars will take care of themselves

Re: What is your favorite Quote or Saying?
One of my VERY Favorites...
From Shakespeare's Henry V, 1598:
KING HENRY V:
This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in England now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
Now THAT is a peptalk!
