    About 30% of the vultures in our area are black vultures. The rest are turkey vultures. The farmers around here don't like the black vultures. They are known to kill newborn lambs and calves.

    When the sun comes up I'm going to try to get some pictures of them in the trees behind my house, assuming they're there in the morning. In the mean time, here's another picture.

    The black vultures are the most common in this area. They love the power poles that cross my property.
