Ok, so you are asking how a Great Dealer, Tiltmeters and fuel
filters are related?

Its a somewhat long story.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But its from me, one of the most long winded guys on TBN, so
keep reading! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If you have read about the problem I had with my tractor you
know I had some issues that are most likely due to old fuel.
I'll get back to this in a minute.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well, I got a note from my dealer on Monday asking about
Tiltmeters. Actually he did not know the name of R&B's
product but I had told my sales guy about them years ago.
Joe had a customer that was buying a 5000 series JD tractor
and asked about Tiltmeters. Joe sent a note asking how my
tractor was doing and if I could help with the Tiltmeters.

So I went off to TBN and got the web site address, the
phone number for R&B, the model and cost for the Tiltmeter
that I had bought and sent it the info to Joe. I also
mentioned in passing the fuel problem that I had. I also said I
was going to have to get a new fuel filter since I was worried
that the one I had was not optimal because of the bad fuel.
Even though the filter only had 11 hours on it I was going to
put in a new one just to be safe.

After I sent the note to Joe I was reading TBN and noticed the
special for the first 25 people to get the new Tiltmeter. So
I sent a note to Joe telling him the if his Customer wanted a
Tiltmeter and he moved fast he could save some money. Do
I sound like a Tiltmeter Sales Rep Yet? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I bought one
at the Intro Price! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Joe sends back a note saying Thanks and by the way the fuel
filter is in the mail at no charge!!!!! WAAAA HOOOOO!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I get home today and I have two packages that are the same
size. One is from R&B with my new Tiltmeter and the other
one is my fuel filter from Joe!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif WAAA HOOO Again!

Now what is really wierd about all of this is how it all came
togather at one time. I needed to send a note to Joe about
buying a new filter but I had not got around to it. Then Joe
asks his question and Lo and Behold the new Tiltmeters are
ready and there is a special! I answered a simple little
question helping Joe out just like we do all the time on TBN
and my fuel filter is free!!!!

This is how a Great Dealer, Tiltmeters and a Fuel Filter can
some how be releated and brought togather by some wierd
alignment in the Universe! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Joe works at Byrd Tractor in Burlington, NC. I wish I could get
service like this on other things!!!

Things have been just a wee bit stressful lately on a bunch
of different fronts but its nice that someone can make you
smile by doing such a small thing that Joe did. Of course
if I have to buy any JD equipment who gets the first and best
shot? Could it be Joe? /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm glad I get to praise someone instead of having a complaint!

John,

The way things have been going I just might get the two
confused! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I did put them in the same box so I can
put them in the truck in the morning! Rick did send
instructions so I might have a chance of getting it right! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

One thing I forgot to add was about Rick. When the Tiltmeter
arrrived, my wife mentioned that our builder had sent us
something. Huh? Why would the builder send us anything?

Our builders name is Richard Hedgecock. The R from R&B is
RICK Hedgecock. More wierd Universal alignments.... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

<Insert Twilight Zone Music Here>

/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I talked to my builder tonight. That would be RICHARD and he
does not know of a Rick in MO. But part of his clan did head
that way many moons ago..... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hi Dan,
Let's align the universe a little more. My legal name is:
Richard L. Hedgecock. L for Lee. I had an uncle Richard that
I was named after. People sometimes got us confused, so
everyone started calling me Rick as a nick name. Uncle is
now deceased. Tell your builder HI from Richard in Mo.
Glad you got the meter o.k. Let me know if I may be of
further service. Thank you !!! Rick (Richard) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
