Default Winter Blues/Cabin Fever

About ready to have our 3rd annual Cabin Fever get together. In a couple of weeks I will move the tractors out of the shop, run a broom across the floor, and have a little get together.I'll have some friends and neighbors over on a Sat. afternoon, all MALE mind you,and we will deep fry a turkey, about 10-15 lbs. of Catfish fillets, potatoe wedges, biscuits, slaw and a whole lot of ice cold beer.We will play cards, lie, fart, belch, drink like fools and eat like pigs, and be REAL MEN for a while. That is until everyones wife starts calling to let them know that they are already two hours late getting home.Just a lot of fun and a mid-winter break.

MReeter, sounds like a perfectly logical thing to do. Am I invited? I love turkey and fried fish. I don't drink a whole lot, but I like a cold beer every once in a while. However, I can fart with the best of them!!

MReeter,

Good thing you don't have your address in your profile. You make a post like that and you could have had 4 or 5 hundred of us show up. We might need a little bigger turkey.

I see you've been trained not to use the house!

Hope you have a great time - just don't let all that testosterone develop into something stupid!!! ( By that I mean - stay safe and don't let anyone drink & drive)

Anyone else notice that the annual Darwin awards are usually all men?

Speaking of parties and get togethers I was wondering if some of you guys that had horses and those that don't would be interested in getting together in the spring or early summer to do some horseback riding somewhere and having like a TractorybyNet jamboree deal?

Pat,First and foremost,I apologize for my vulgarity,I forget there are Ladies present,I hope you are not offended.Secondly,we have a "ride home" for everyone that needs it.My wife who does'nt indulge, and is the Taxi ride, plus a lot of wives come down anyway, but hang in the house.Plus one of the guys is a Minister,he does'nt drink, smoke,or swear, but he loves to have a good time.He is a great friend and fishing partner, plus a real good Pitch player. He will enjoy the good food and the fellowship as much as anyone.Probably more so than anyone,he'll wake up with a pretty clear head Sunday morning.

Thomas, There are two brothers who have a large farm just outside of town. Every fall when the rice and soybean harvest is over they clean up their shop and do a HUGE kettle of venison chili. it is so good! the only problem is that it is so HOT YOU CAN HARDLY EAT IT. Farmers, parts store people and folks from the local IH and JD dealerships show up from miles around. The JD and IH dealerships also have a huge fish fry for friend and customers every fall. I make them all.
