Come to think of it Bob, I haven't walked on grass for some time either. Maybe I'll have a stroll across the septic tank tonight (do you think Bird, Harv and the other fairweather TBN members will know what we're talking about?)

I thought about going out and walking over the septic tank since it's been clear of snow off and on for a couple of weeks. Only problem is our two dog's found that area too and use it for........well, a septic area.

Thomas,

This morning's news gave 18" for a total here. Wet and heavy. Lots of drifting. Makes for a lot of work sometimes.

But on the other hand I have to say movin' snow has got to be some of the most fun you can have with a tractor.

Pretty smart dogs

I guess I won't see the grass after all. My wife just called to say our piddly amount of snow is still covering things up. Of course I asked her if she needed me to move any snowpiles when I get home

Just a couple of weeks ago everybody in the northeast was complaining that they didn't have enough snow to plow. Have fun piling up snow while clearing your drives.

Northern Vermont above 1000' got hit hard, too! We're at 1500'. Got 22" out of three storms last week. 9" last night and another 8" today. Here I am stuck at work wondering if the little Honda Civic will make it all the way home... Snow that deep gets caught by the air dam and thrown over the hood. Makes it pretty hard to see.

Had a hard time clearing the snow this morning with the 1750. The snow was too heavy and the machine was too light. Sure wish that loaded L3010 was here already!

I really enjoyed doing business with Steve Carver. One thing, though. Don't listen to a Carolinian when it comes to snow chains! I just shipped him a set of downsized skidder chains with 1/2" spikes to be installed on my new tractor before it ships. Now he'll know what New Englanders mean when they ask for chains!

I know what grass is -- it's that stuff you mow a little less often this time of year.

And I thought I knew what a septci tank was -- not sure what the attraction of "strolling across" one is, though.

I'm with you, Harv. I thought you usually tried to avoid strolling across the septic tanks. And for the first time this year, it's 70F out there this afternoon.
