Greetings,
I just wanted to post something about this forum in particular, and what types of topics are appropriate and inappropriate.
For starters, let's remember that this is a tractor community, and most topics should at least in some way relate to tractors or using this site.
With that, this is a community and people here are friends. Well, most anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif So, I'm not going to ask that nothing outside of tractors be discussed. That's why we have this Related Topics Forum.
Threads about computers/electronics are fine, as are discussions about country living and events related to such things.
The only area I want to remind everybody about is politics, religion, and jokes.
Not to say we don't allow any of these, but let me use these guidelines of what NOT to post:
- Topics that are likely to start controversy or heated debate (most religion and politics).
- Topics that are in bad taste (some jokes).
- Topics that could be considered offensive to any racial, religious or ethnic group.
Sometimes a thread started with innocent intentions winds up turning into a needless debate or argument among members. At that point, we are going to remove the thread. This applies to all forums.
Please remember that when a thread is removed, it is not personal and there is no moderator "scorecard." /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
So please, if you happen to be a participant in a thread that gets removed, don't attack the moderators or the fact that a thread was removed---this has been a part of the way we maintain TractorByNet.com for five years now, and complaining is a waste of everybody's time.
As always, enjoy the forum. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
