Well, this was not perfectly legal either. They just moved the scrap metal pile away and I got confused, b/c there were two small heaps of metal divided by a wall. I stopped next to the second one since it seemed to be bigger and the guy came over and told me to go the other pile. And thats when I saw those weights pushed in the dirt and I was able to sneak them onto my trailer behind his back. There is a sign of course once it is dumped, you are not allowed to pick it up.
But this is weird. In the shared area - Trash-To-Treasure they call it - I found decent Petium III and took it home to make it an MP3 player in my shop. Well, yesterday, I finally had the time to messs with that computer - and it is full of personal stuff like resume, cover letter, some photos, 30 years of Playboy calendar, also some dirty movies....
I never just throw anything with personal information in it away, I shred paper, clean digital media or
cut up CDs - Paranoia is maybe a sickness, but that does not mean they are not after me
And I saw good stuff to be picked up and taken away by employees there too. For instance trailer with two personal watercrafts. The guy who brought it was saying both engines are hydrolocked and was told to park the trailer on the side - and next day it was all standing in the driveway of one of the landfill managers.
