| New Diesel land speed record "Andy Green broke the supercharged diesel streamliner world record by more than 90 mph by reaching an average land speed Tuesday of 328.767 mph. The old record was 235.756 mph, set by Virgil Snyder on the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1973."
"Green drove a vehicle powered by two diesel engines that have a combined total of 1,500 horsepower. Each is a 4-cylinder, 4.4-liter engine used commercially as a backhoe loader"
Wonder what brand engine(s) they were New diesel land speed record: 328 mph - Yahoo! News

The bars dig into the ground and provide a wee bit more traction AND keeps the tractor more stable. I find that R1s give me an extra 10-13 mph over R4s before the bouncing gets bad and I have to tighten up the seat spring. I'm pretty sure I can get to 110 mph before the bouncing became a problem. Course I don't really do this since it kicks up WAY too much dust and I don't like to coat the neighbors place.
Is it Friday Afternoon?
Later,

| Re: New Diesel land speed record Thanks Dan, I suppose that's my problem right there. Duh! Silly me! I should know that R4's aren't good for much over 100 mph!!
