It's gonna take some big stockings for what I want. But the grandkids come first. Have a safe and Happy Christmas...The looks on the little ones faces is the magic that makes it all worthwhile. Enjoy what you have and don't worry about what you don't have.. Eventually it will all work out..

and all throught the forum
not a creature was stirring
Not even the norm (ie Soundguy, Bird).
The tractors were parked in the barns and garages
in hopes that Saint Nicolas would soon bring implements in barages.
The children were nestled all snug in their bed
while visions of Daddy on a tractor danced in their heads.
My wife in her pajamas and I in my underwear
had just settled down from all the wear and tear.
When out on the back forty there arose such a clatter.
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the door I flew like I was lean
Opened the door and slung open the screen.
The cloud cover over the farm
Gave the appearance of a dark barn.
When what to my wondering eyes should appear
But a big diesel tractor that was not so near.
With a little old driver who appeared I would bet
Must be a member of TractorByNet.
More rapid than eagles he drove his rig
He was so out of control he ran over a pig!!
"I want a loader, I want a box blade, I want a plow!!"
"I want some pallet forks, I want a bush hog, and I want them now!!"
"To the top of the pasture, to the top of the field"
"If I'm not careful I'll be killed!!"
And then in a twinkling I heard the rpms increase.
I thought, "If he keeps it up I'm gonna have to call the police."
As I drew my hand and was turning to bed
Across the yard came the driver in red.
He was dressed all in fur from his head to his toe.
And his clothes were all tarnished with soil and I don't know.
A bundle of gear he had flung on his back.
And he looked like a farmer just opening his sack.
His eyes - how they were dark and his dimples how stark!
His cheeks were sunburned, and his nose full of marks!
His mouth was wide open and agape
My gosh I've never seen a man in such shape!
The piece of chew he held tight in his mouth
The juices ran down and stained my couch!
He had a thin face and not much of a belly
It wouldn't shake even if he ate of bowl full of jelly.
He was thin and slim, a right jolly old dude.
And I laughed when I saw him even in the solitude.
A wink of his eye and a twist of his cap
Soon gave me to know he was up to no crap.
He spoke not a word but went straight for his gear.
He lined up all the implements then turned to disappear.
And laying a finger beside his brow
And giving a nod he said "I'll go now".
He sprang to his tractor and fired up his rig
And away he flew like he had another gig.
But I heard his exclaim as he drove out of sight. . .

Just sitting here by the fireplace. Tradition changed this year and we are opening gifts this morning for the first time ever. We always opened gifts Christmas Eve. I thought this would be one morning the kids would get up early, but I guess not.
