My garden is too small to use a tractor... Got 5 h.p. front tine tiller, and I'm thinking: If I add 2 angled disks on the shaft will it make rows? Anybody tried that? Hate to use a shovel and rake. Other options for building beds?

Try a "grape hoe". It's an old school hoe design with a huge head on it - 10" wide. Works extremely well for moving dirt around a small garden and making rows, as long as the soil has already been worked. Just walk along perpendicular to the row and hoe-rake the soil into the shape of a bed. I got mine from earthtoolsbcs.com

Hi! May be you can make a hoe for connect with the rear drag pin (deep control device). Here a pic of mine behind my Grillo tiller. Good Luck! Oldmech

I ended up by mounting a furrower (from middlebuster) to the rear drug pin and made it adjustable. It works!

Our front tine tiller came with a furrow attachment that mounted the same way.
