Borrowed and old "horse" ( 1966?) from a buddy to do some quick tilling.

Got it out of his barn, alittle gas and started and ran enough to geti nto my truck.

Wouldn't start when I got home, let it sit over night still wouldn't start.

wouldn't start today, lossened the bottom screw on the carb bowl drained a littl egasd and it started right up.

But... ran for a few minutes and stalled.

If I remove and drain the float an reinstall it will run for a few minutes and then stumble and stall.

looks like the bolw is flooding.

Never fiddled with one of these before.

Any ides.

Thanks

possible stuck float in the bowl: or float has a hole in it so the carb floods??

More than likely the float has a hole and is sinking or is set too high. Pull the bowl off the carb and check to see that float level when needle is just seated is aproximately level with the bowl seal surface. If it is then you will have to pull the float and check for pin holes. If you have a pin hole you will need to either get a new float or.......as I have done in the past.....drain the gas out of this one and solder the hole up with plumbers solder, Not that I am recommending this, but it can be done in a pinch. :D
