I need some suggestions based on your experiences.

What OIL or Lubrication would you put in the chainbox of this old rototiller.
We were just happy to get it running, I'm sure most anything will work fine, but thought someone that knows something might be a good approach.

I just got by BIL's old Master-Till running. I put the electronic ignition on it. Briggs and Stratton is all clear to me. RotoTiller is not.

I picked up some 85w-140 and will toss some of that in with a bit of 30w....
Lotsa views on this question, but no help to be found....

I'll let you know how this works. I don't want to crack the chaincase plan on filling it to the overflow and let'er rip.

If it ends up having leaks you can fill it with JD cornhead grease. Its semifluid and wont leak.

kg7il,

I was going to suggest 80w90, but I think you did good. Like last post said, IF it doesn't leak, you got it made. GO FOR IT ! ! !
