Reminds me of the story in the paper recently when they had the flooding around Lake Texoma. Some guy with a manufactured home bought a couple thousand dollars of styrofoam and put under his house. When the lake rose above flood stage, his house floated up while his neighbors flooded. Pretty smart.
The obvious advantage of the floating pier is that it is always the same height above the water no matter what the water level may be.

:laughing: I was thinking the same thing Jim until I read your post!! maybe after 5 years , it's a good length of time to see how the "dock" worked? :D
