Anyone have experience with this?

Seeing that I'll be living in the woods shortly, this device has piqued my curiosity. Do you own or know anyone that owns one of these?

I see that Country Home products has started to carry these as well.

Ah, I've since noticed there is a skeeters! thread where folks are already talking about this.

I was quite curious when I heard an advertisement (Paul Harvey I think) for it.

Got scared off when I saw the price. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif I can buy an awful lot of "Off" repellent for that price. (plus the "Off" sticks with me wherever I go.) Of course, if I had a large # of people outdoors on the patio a lot of the time, it might make more sense.

'Off' also has a nasty tendency to stick to other things like the plastic shrouds on your tractor or vinyl seat covers in your pick-up. It causes a nasty discoloration and some kind of chemical reaction when in contact with plastic. It's great with bugs but be careful with this stuff when in contact with plastics.

Absolutely! I've had some run-ins with plastic/"Off". Not fun - I always try and wait a little while 'till it dries before I go near anything plastic (I suspect the solvent is in the carrier that is used.) I've found that almost any brand of spray repellent has this nasty side effect unfortunately. Do you know of any available that sidestep this issue?
