Don't know who many trees you planted but are you making syrup with them???
I started making maple syrup 3 seasons ago, lots of hard work doing it my way (all by hand pretty much on low volume production ~3 gallons this year!)
but I can honestly say I LOVE making my own syrup and it tastes best I ever had! I FIRE mine using wood and learn that the WOOD adds some flavoring and made 1 batch this year with popular which tasted not as good as the previous batches...
