Does your Lowes allow dogs?

Before we got a dog we pretty much always saw someone in Lowes with their well behaved dog. We thought that they welcomed them, but it appears we are wrong..

Today we had our dog in the outside lawn and garden area but as soon as we went into the main store we were told dogs were not allowed in Lowes..

I just saw a guy the other day with a small dog in Lowes. He was carrying it, and it couldn't have weighed more then a few pounds, but yes, it was definately a dog for sure.

On hot days I will carry my old small dog into any store except a food store or restaurant.
Pet shops welcome them.

We take our german shepherd in both Lowes and Home Depot (Bonney Lake, WA, Covington, WA), to help socialise her. My wife walks her around while I find all the junk to buy.

The sign on the home depot door says no dogs, but the lady at the returns desk has doggie biscuits that she hands out.

I take Sadie into home depot just about every time I go. It is her favorite store, as they almost always have dog treats at the checkout counter...

I'd really never thought much about it because I never tried taking our dog into a store, but I guess it was a couple of months ago at Lowe's that the guy in front of me at the checkout had a small dog in his shopping cart. No one said anything to him as far as I know.l

I don't know what the store policy is but I have seen lots of people with a dog in shopping cart.

My local THDepot use to allow dogs. "One or two in this case bad apples spoil the bunch" Someone brought in a mean unsocialized dog that met the same. Big fight and a store employee was injured. Now, no more dogs in that store. I ask the Mgr. and was told it is up to the store mgr. on a store by store basis.

our 2 labs our touch certified. we have taken ours into lowes a couple of times in full harness. we usually call ahead and ask the store manager. some allow some dont.
