Every time they fill it up, they charge a service charge of around $5, plus we lease the tank for $70 per year, 500 gallon size.

All the bigger propane companies like Amerigas charge much higher fees around here.

this will be the second winter on my 500 gal "there" tank.

im currently sitting at about 35% after all spring/summer usage from a 275 gal fill in march or so when i hit about 10%.

Ive been toying with the idea about filling now even though based on my usage i could go about another 6-8 weeks depending on outside temp.

the question is will the price continue to drop.... will it go up as we get farther into winter.... will OPEC cut production back again hopeing to raise the price of oil.... (just in time for spring/summer driving and a return to $4/gal gasoline)

I ment to call and get prices last week. Its on my todo list for this week.

Ill update when i get a price from my local central IL supplier.

I just called, it would be $2.37/gal to top off my tank here in SW Idaho.

Yeah even though I started the thread I've still yet to call on a price......
I did check and I'm at 30% of a 1000gal tank.
Here in a few weeks I'll have a few weeks off work and see where the price is then.
Up here west of Kankakee they do give me a 10 cent per gal discount for cash.
The way gasoline keeps dropping we would think propane will follow.......
I'm thinking anything under $2.00 would be nice.
