im thinking a little less tong weight next time and about a 20K trailer instead of a 5K one.

Looks like from the pics in the web sites storey that the poor little Chevy is gonna stay bent like that, kinda like when your mother warned you not to look cross eyed or you'd get stuck like that.
Even as they're lifting the log up the truck looks hurt

Like they say,Built like a Rock!....I'm actually a Chevy guy. That's why I don't buy halfton pickups. I hope he had a large splitter and a good chainsaw at home. I wonder if that will show up on Carfax when he sells it. When he goes for an insurance estimate,I wonder what he'll get for hidden damage. We had a video in NH on youtube,same make of truck,it fell thru the ice on a lake,the skidder ,when he winched it out folded the truck in half,frame buckled between cab and bed,the remains were put on a lowbed and hauled away. plowking

if i had to guess it was for a saw log with a Peterson swinger style mill. but in hindsite they would have done better to bring the saw to the site.

Trailer tires lood ok, dumb on the loader operators part as well. That trailer should carry that log. MikeD74T

Hmmm... I wonder is that is a built in safety feature for Chevy's? The frame is hinged and has a shear pin - When overloaded the shear pin breaks and everything comes to a grinding stop.. LOL
