Default Supressor for 10/22

Is there a supressor for a 10/22? Have you seen or used one?

About any gun can have a suppressor added, they thread the end of the barrel and usually also include a cap to put on to protect the threads when the suppressor is off. I'm sure you know there is a $200.00 stamp you have to apply for to legally own one in the US. The paperwork is somewhat like when you fill out for the background check for a concealed carry.

A company near us makes suppressors for about anything you wish to put one on. A friend has one for his 10/22 that can also be switched over to a variety of his 22 pistols. Same thread on each barrel and with subsonic ammo all you hear is either the action cycle on the semi-auto or the bullet hitting the mud from his 22 contender.

SSK Industries

I think the suppressors are under the tactical tab.

I'd also price a yankee hill. If you also have a .223 cal. rifle, I'd
get it for a .223 (higher pressure build) so you can use it on a few of your rifles. Why limit yourself to just .22

IMHO.. the form 4 xfer is even more rigorous than the CCW paperwork...

Use the CCI CB Shorts. All you hear is the click and then what ever it hits.

Do they quiet 22LR enough that you don't have to use hearing protection?

The CB shorts: won't they shave lead and cause damage in a 22LR?

I know you can fire 9mmSS with no hearing protection... only thing you hear is the bolt action and a tinkle when the brass hits the ground...

IMHO you don't need hearing protection to shoot 22LR from a 10/22. A 22 pistol, yes indeed.

The action of a 10/22 semi auto will fail to function properly unless you use the specified 22LR ammo. Meaning that you can shoot one at a time if you hand load the chamber through the port.

I'm QUITE sure that a supressed .22lr semi-auto pistol could be shot with no hearing protection... my 9mm has a short barrell and fires from an open bolt.. loud sucker.. louder than any 22 I've ever heard.. and it is reduced to simple bolt noise with a supressor. i have a buddy with a 45.. same thing.. thup.. thup.. thup.. sounds like flicking your finger at some cardboard..

If going suppressed, you should use sub sonic ammo; no use suppressing if the supersonic "crack" is still gonna happen.

The rifle should not cycle; the sound of the action operating defeats suppressing too.

Besides, isn't illegal?
