ford850, those Lehman's are so close, if only they made an electric one. (a spec I left out, bum shoulder). Those Ice cream trailers are a ... aaa...WOW, but I'm only making ice cream for the club not the County. :D
Thanks!

get a hand crank convrt it with a pulley and clutch assembly for ice cream churns and hook a hit and miss to it!!!

Found a couple pics of the one we use at the fair. It was converted to belt drive, we keep the hand crank handy in case we have a breakdown. Takes about 45 minutes of churning to make 5 gallons.

I know I have some better one somewhere of the belt set-up and the clutch/reduction system my father built for it, just can't seem to find them at the present moment.

Ahhhh, the Garden Club's annual Ice cream social is in a couple of weeks and I looking to replace my dilapidated Ice cream freezer.

I am having no luck so I have come to my good friends on TBN for help.

The specs I'm looking for are a stainless steel tub and 4-6 quart capacity, and electric motor.

I just bought a White Mountain (6 qt electric), and I know they USED to make a good ice cream freezer, but I was disappointed in this one. The White Mountain metal label is now a stick on which stuck to the box and came right off, the wood ends of the paddles were splintered, the 5 year warranty is actually only 1 year on the motor, the motor label says MADE IN CHINA, and the Dasher (paddle) end does not fit in the motor which renders the freezer useless.

HELP!!!

I agree quality has taken a turn for the worse but historically white mountain has marked the motor head assembly Latch End. You might check yours carefully as the wording may have gone south with some of the other qualities.

We just can't be without home made ice cream, especially strawberry. :licking:

If you find one that is PTO driven I would be interested too. Cold beer in the FEL and ice cream on back!

Yummy, my favorite. Budweiser Floats! :licking::laughing::laughing::laughing:

Atgreen, That is a very interesting ice cream maker, if you find more pictures please post them.
Mybar, the latches were ok, the dasher would not fit in square slot at the bottom of the motor. I returned it and wrote a e-mail to the manufacture.

I checked e-bay and they have several "American vintage" ice cream makers, including ones like mine.

I used my old American made 5 qt. Frost King and made some delicious Pina colada Ice Cream (non-dairy). The recipe: 20oz can of crushed pineapple, 14oz can of cocoanut milk and 3/4 cup sugar. We put the ingredients in a blender and then in the ice cream freezer. We tripled the recipe for 5qt.

Below is a picture of the ice cream social in the middle of town under the gazebo. Four others brought their home made ice cream also.

We make ice cream with an IH 1 1/2 hp at Fryeburg fair each year with a White Mountain Freezer 5 gallon ice cream maker. We'd love to find a back-up unit, if anyone comes across one. The new ones at Lehmans are nice, but an old WMF is nostalgic.

I can attest to how good the ice cream that Allen and his family make at the Fryeburg Fair, I make sure to eat some every year!!!!

Allen, fancy meeting you here, I spend hours every year watching you and your family (and the others) at the fair run the engines and machinery, it is my favorite part of the fair. Thanks to all of you!

Next year, I will be sure to introduce myself.

This year you and another gentleman spent a while working on the big Farmall that you had there, what was wrong, carburetor???

Glad you enjoyed it. I always meet a few new folks who find me on here and a few other forums I'm part of.

Here's a few pics of the ice cream maker.

As for the Farmall, we had a rainy day so I opted to try to change the exhaust manifold. The last bolt broke off in the head, so we ran downtown, bought left hand twist drills and easy outs and tried to get it that way. Snapped the easy-out off in the head. Ran home and brought my torches up and had to burn the bolt out. Got it all repaired, runs great.

Can't run belt drive equipment in the rain so I always try to bring some projects for folks to see.

On edit: can't get pics to load, will try again soon.
