Well, my oldest son is tying the knot
with his fiance this Saturday, after a long
2 year engagement.
I wanted to get them a gift and have thought
about helping them when they go off on a honeymoon
(hopefully in the not to distant future).
Has anybody had experience with a travel gift card
or prepaid flight cards from jet blue/southwest etc?
i found a visa travel money card, but can't find a retailer
around here with it. I don't really want anything with
monthly fees if it isn't used regularly, because they may
not use it for a few months.
any ideas?
thanks!

I've received a couple gift cards in the past. I had absolute headaches with more than one of them and have vowed to never hand them out to someone else.

I'd rather give (or receive) straight cash so I don't have those strings attached.

If you want to give them some kind of travel cash.... would traditional travellers checks work? (do they still have those?)

Yea, i know cash is king,

but i guess it's just impersonal, and maybe
i should be finding a more unique gift,

the chase card looks ok, as well as that
visa travel card, but i am not sure i can
get to a retailer during the day this week
to pick one up. (nothing real close to me)
upon further review, there are monthly fees,
so maybe cash is the way to go.. or a check.

thanks for the input
