Not the same anymore. Basically structured like the others - assigned seats, extra charges for everything. Interisland travel crowded, expensive. Gonna get worse now that Go announced pulling out next month.

33*F. The 7-8 inches of snow this morning turned out to be more like 10-11 inches. Couple inches expected on Saturday. We could use some melty weather. Some places around our 6' fence only have 2' feet of fence showing. Luckily, it's not crusty enough to support the dogs.

Finally had a furnace guy look at my propane boiler today. I thought my flame rollout switch was cutting out for some reason. It was, turns out the problem was the intake air plenum was stuffed full of seed hulls, plus there were 4-5 dead mice in there too. We don't think the mice carried in the hulls, it's basically a one-way trip for the mice once they fall down the 5' vertical section of 4" pipe. The guess is the intake, which only about 16" above the ground, vacuums the hulls out of the air. Could be. It's 8 years old and had never been opened up. I guess that will now be a regular chore added to the list.

The hulls looked like hawk weed seeds maybe which we have lots of. I feel lucky it didn't catch fire. I rigged a temporary fine screen over the intake to keep anymore mice out until I make something more permanent. Danged mice are destructive sometimes.

Beautiful day on tap for tomorrow 70 degrees possible but next week chances for big snow on the increase maybe a large one. Someone on the east coast is going to get pounded heavy snow and strong winds. Afterwards a pretty good warm up on tap for a spell before another cool down. ElNino will make another appearance in the late summer early fall so hold on to your hats. Summer should be on the cooler side for us in east with good moisture for crops. Tractor full of fuel and ready to go whatever comes next week
Weekend consists of replacing siding on garage and getting ready for sons 25 birthday on the 25 this does not seem possible only 25 years ago he is just getting ready to say hello to the world.

Time really does fly, good evening

30 degrees right now...actually feels warm! Dog wanted out to pee and I had to pee too, so we both went out on the deck. She went down on the yard, I peed off the deck....in just a tee shirt, pajama bottoms and slippers. The temperature was quite comfortable.
Today's high will be about 36, so the snow we got yesterday should melt.

David, have a good trip. Should be 69F when you get home, but only 33 now.
More brush clearing today. Getting ready to plant more apple trees.
Dave and Roy, wish I could send some of our warmth your way to help melt your snow, but Buppies won't let me. He's sending more snow.
