18 degrees F this morning calling for mostly sunny today and then dipping down toward zero tonight. We got 3 - 4 inches of snow yesterday at least things are back to white for awhile.

I reduced my Cholesterol a lot and low enough on the LDL (less than 100) not to take a statin IF I HAD NOT HAD THAT HEART ATTACK. But now the lower limit for people with confirmed heat disease is less than 70 and that is less than my body normally makes (hereditary) so I am still taking a low dose statin. My LDL is hovering around 60. The Doctors really don't care about the HDL because it acts as the garbage truck and if there is less trash to remove it is lower and more trash to remove it is higher.

However, the statin is the only med I'm taking and my wife who is also on the diet also takes no meds at all. Our weight is in the correct normal BMI range for our height and has stayed constant without counting calories and eating as much as we want. 22 mo post heart attack and no problems and I'm doing physically as much as before. Blood test levels are all in the normal range - including protein - I take no supplements.

There is one more aspect to this diet I have not mastered and will try but this will be hard. All unprocessed foods. I think I can get there now that I don't miss the animal products and oils. Last weekend I learned how to do it that made it seem easy without feeling completely deprived. I might get off statins yet....

42 and raining at 0500... Snow is forecast for this afternoon & evening, with a low of 28... Might get 1-3" they say...

Girls are excited cause Santa delivered cool new sleds this year... I fear the snow will not last due to sleds, and also my yard is so saturated. parts of the grass are like sloppy sponges, everything is squishy

Yesterday in PA I was supposed to get 1" of wintry mix, and got 6" of snow... I wonder how accurate my current forecast is...

    Be well y'all,

HERE is my weather report and a list of mundane chores, hope JoeMD11 appreciates the gesture: 29 degrees here, supposed to warm up to 35 degrees later today. Just finished the dishes and cleaning the litterboxes, now I can fry bacon and eggs for breakfast then continue rebuilding the oak bookcase I salvaged from Goodwill yesterday. Everybody got that?

Oh, and 300Uguy....what hamster site are you referring to? Does this look like a hamster to you? Why would I be looking at a hamster site?

Trying to drink my coffee without choking. To many references to Hamsters and Under Garments. 41 degrees with clouds this morning. Heading to 69 with lots of sun. Good day to trim the lawn. Then sit in sun and enjoy the some adult beverages.
    Good news Don.
    Good Morning All.
