Lou, you're going to need a new business idea, somebody's already working that corner.

We appreciate your research, Lou! John Walker and Butterfinger might be a good combo, at that!

In the back yard Whipper was going ballistic this morning keeping a couple of coyotes at the edge of the tree line. The coyotes went away empty handed but in the front the hogs did a number on my twice refurbished road. Why would hogs dig up a road - there is no vegetation under it????

The county has put a bounty on hogs ($5 ea.) so the local hunters should take care of that problem by the end of deer season.

Don, I'd bet those hogs dug up your road because of the fresh smell of the dirt. I think much of a hog's searching for food is driven by smell (also mating, fighting, etc.). After all, they're the best truffle hunters, but you have to be fast or they'll eat all they find.

When the hunters claim their county bounty on hogs, do they have to present the whole carcass or just the ears? If they get whole carcasses, the county could probably have a huge processing/composting plant. . . but nobody would want to be downwind.
    Jim
