Found in a remote field near woods. Upstate NY Catskill Mountain region.

Looks like the jaw bones of a very young deer.

An older deer would have worn down teeth. You would be able to see black/dark color in the teeth.

I thought it was interesting that there was no other bones anywhere around.

Attached is another pic taken in the same area. Coyotes doing quite a number on this carcass. Not sure if they actually did the kill or whether they may have found this deer that some hunter shot but couldn't recover.

However no sign of a communication device anywhere near this scene... :D
