torn polyethylene water tank - repair or return?

Agree with MadJack, but they are offering considerable refund so it might be worthwhile to tackle the repair . . . or not.

Also, the hole is not a crack, but a fairly clean hole so this might be an easier repair.

I am with you now, forget my earlier post. If the saving is considerable (say 30-40%) fix it. Make two SS plates 1/4" thick, 1/4 holes every two inches, a good neoprene gasket and bolt them together. Last the life of the tank. Sunlight will deastroy it first, probably.
