    Default Chicken coop in progress

Almost there. Needs doors, roosting bars and litter box.

But the chicks are not ready for the big coop yet.

Nice looking coop; Guess I'm going to have to build one. Some friends brought a hen to us that was sitting on 5 eggs. They should hatch in about 10 days so I've got to get busy.

Good job on the coop, looks nice. Might be a few weeks before you need the nest boxes, cute chickens.

    Thank you guys.

Since nobody asked - I got those windows at Habitat For Humanity at Manassas - dollar a piece - and I just took off the vinyl and framed them with 2x4s.
It was on hold for few weeks, i was waiting for a local guy to mill me more cedar boards, the idea is that cedar will keep the bugs at bay at least little bit - and the wood was free too. I like to work with cedar.

Pond rake? The write up is somewhere here on TBN. Like here:

    http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/b...pond-rake.html

I welded a 3 pt adapter to accept 2x4 (piece of rectangular tubing to act as a socket) The 2x4 sits in this pocket and two steel lines go from the top of the 3pt adapter to the end of the rake. The rake I used is just welded together from pieces of rebar and piece of bed frame. I have a newer one where I used tines from lanscaping rake, but didn't assmble it yet.
    Regards,

    Prokop

Do you recall the cajun song: Making love in the chicken coop? Well we tested that coop last night, LOL, not sure it counts since the coop was empty and clean

I just caught this thread, but I noticed the windows. I built one last year and used the window panel from an old garage door someone gave me. I did hinge mine at the top so I could prop it open and rain wouldn't blow in. Nice looking coop, I like the cedar siding.
