No excuses for using double ended male cords into clothes dryer, electric stove or worse yet welder plugs.
No extension cords through doors or windows and stumbling around in the dark transferring from the sump pump, to freezer, to fridge.
No need to attempt a tie into a hard wired furnace or AC unit.

Found that a couple of years ago. I begged my local power company to let me put it in. Even told them they could make a bundle by renting them. The fools didn't want anything to do with it.
