Default You dog in hunting season??

Do you take any precautions to protect your pooch during big game hunting season?
Here's Samson wearing his "Don't-shoot-me-I'm-not-a-deer" attire.

We have similar vests that our dogs wear during hunting (gun) season. I guess it adds a level of safety for them and makes them easier to keep track of as they run around the property.

my two pointers wear a similar vest, except that it covers their belly and attaches around their backs with velcro; costs about $25 and makes them more visible to deer hunters and gives them more protection in the rough cover. they wear the vest throughout the bird season, whether in deer season or not. still dont take them out opening deer weekend - too many yahoos out there with a gun but without any common sense.

Samson doesn't seem to mind in the least. When he see me getting it ready he gets really excited as he knows that means it's time to go outside.

As Jomd11 noted, now that the leaves are off I can spot him much more easily-- even at a pretty good distance-- with that orange color being so visible.
