Garand I have a CRF100 like that too. It's the hardest clutch pulls of all my bikes. Hondas been making this for bike for about 25 years, I don't see why they haven't solved that for their beginners. Kids bike clutch harder than a 500 and its a tiny clutch, 4 springs.
I lengthened the clutch arm more than 1/2" to reduce the pull by 20%, an easy mod. So long I had to grind down an engine mount bolt to fit it. And its still not appropriate for a child - but it's 20% easier.
Cable is lubed, everything slick, it's all clutch spring pull. I've half a mind to spacer out the clutch sping bolts a little, these kids don't put much power to the ground. If you take that clutch cover off pay attn to the oil passageway connection to the crankshaft bearing.
