If you have one I suggest that you put your name and phone number on it.
My sister opened her drapes to find a drone laying on her patio.
She called the police for advice and an Officer came by, inspected it and said it had no identification on it.
He said they didn't want it, if she didn't want it to throw it away!
With all the warnings about them I have not heard this one.

Depending on the size, they were to be registered.

Depending on the person, and their intentions, maybe they thought it best not to be traceable.

The smaller classes of these aircraft are almost approaching fly and forget, disposable status.

I have a Phantom III. Mine is registered. I bought it to document the foresting and farming of my land. How big is that drone? What brand is it?

I've got a Phantom 4 that's registered and marked with my FAA number. I'd be doing my best to find it if it ever got out of sight.

Got it when I got my land and it takes the best before and after pictures.

I hear they are more fun than shooting skeet.

Just got a Phantom III Pro. Haven't flown it yet (weather hasn't been up to snuff). Plan on registering before flight, and attaching name and address as well.

How many have you heard about being shot down so far? Is it a hobby in your area?

Actually, a Lady up the road from us, took exception to one with a shotgun.

Rural folk are funny that way.

All they have to say is "bothering my livestock" for a clean discharge.

You register yourself not the drone.
