you know the clumping stuff the size of your finger.
A co worker was talking about digging some up and how hard it was going to be.
I (being a nice guy and looking for seat time) told him I would bring over the BX with the box blade and we would hook it with the root rake and pop that "grass" right out of the ground
I WAS WRONG!!!!!
all I as able to do was spin out in the guys yard. They stuff was like a steel wall. Told him to get a rent backhoe or a stump grinder or get A-bomb

Chemicals might work better.
Equipment rental can be rough on your time, wallet and turf.
Atomics are not residential friendly.

In my area the local's call it "bull grass" or "swamp grass" I mowed mine, over & over for years and finely won the war it died off and the grass has taken it over.

Tuff stuff......Round up won't touch it, I never did try gas and a match......hummm??????

Every once in a while I run across someone asking about planting bamboo.

On PURPOSE?!?!?!?! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

There's a word to describe such idiocy, I just don't know what it is.

In China, they make good use of it for a lot of things.

Good place for it, in my book! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

As long as it's clumping bamboo it's not going to take over a yard like the running type will.

We were in the Carolinas and Virginias a few weeks ago and I noticed lots of bamboo along the roadways. Hadn't seen it the last time I was there. Is it the revenge of the kudzu? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

There are a number of vegetation killers on the market that will destroy anything. I've used Scorcher before with good results but there should be other choices down at the hardware store.
