Well,

After one year we have now turned our attention to the farm house. We bought the farm, the barn, the cottage, and the house just came along with the package... /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Can someone identify this patterned wood for me at the top end of the house?

Do they make stuff like this in vinyl?

Day one of the project uncovered these surprises....
1. under the asbestos was a pretty good quality wood
2. the specialists knocked over our full kerosene tank
3. the specialists cut the phone lines.

The attachment shows the pattern I am interested in duplicating in vinyl or other non-wood product.

Thanks.

And the "hazardous wastes" are???
The siding isn't a problem environmentally until perhaps you start breaking it up...

Broken up piles of siding in and around the grounds, and of course now the removal of the siding on the farm house itself.

My renovation permit was denied . Seems I added a bedroom.
The county lists it as a 3 bed, 2 full bath.

My plans show a 4 bedroom 2 full bath.

The original owner, listed the other room, as a sitting area.

My question is, what difference does it make how it is listed if it I am not adding bathrooms?

This is strange to me? IS there not a correlation of bedrooms to bathrooms. It seems my county is only interested in the number of bedrooms.

Arg! Losing time on this.....

If you have a septic system, the number of bedrooms have to do with sizing the drainfield. More bedrooms, more drainfield. That was the case when I put my septic system in.
