Found use for short 3 & 4 inch PVC. Pipe storage! Cut into rings about 2x4 wide. Drill 3/8th or so hole in one side and 1/8th or so on oposite side. Screw to every second or third wall stud horizontally. Slide pipe in. Also works vertically for standing up short pieces.

I've used scrap PVC for marking my land corners. A lot easier to find than those stakes or pins or pine knots and rocks that have been there for years.
I've used larger pieces for culverts in ditches where there won't be heavy traffic. I've used the thick walled 1 inch size for making the little holes to plant containerized long leaf pine trees. They also make a pretty good batting T for little peoples base ball.

Very cool idea. Probably wook good for rebar and other long, thin materials too.

Get a fitting cleanout adaptor for each end (or cap it off on one end) and it makes a nice dry, secure container for carrying prints or other rolled paperwork, or a nice outside encloser for pipe as well that could rustif exposed to the weather.

Just stay away from the 3/8" pipe nipples and brass fittings, like we don't know what you're making with those:D
