This video is not from our plant but this is how we unload coal cars.

I have seen the railroad MOW (Maintenance Of Way) crews unloading backhoes in a similar fashion from flat cars but never seen a backhoe climbing into a coal car. All I can say is that they have more guts than me.

They use rotary dumpers at our coal-fired power plant here as well.
