I heard that this was fixed. Rumor has it that they used '09 crash test dummies in both cars. Had the '59 Chevy had a '59 crash test dummy, after the wreck the '59 test dummy would have gotten out of his car, walked over pulled the '09 dummy out of the '09 Chevy, and beat the tar out of him for causing the wreck to start with. I mean that is just what I heard, don't know if it is true or not.

I'm not a big fan of the 59 Chevy but it's still too bad they destroyed one to really prove nothing of significance. But it made the remaining ones a little more valuable.

They crashed the frame rail of the 09 into the fender of the 59. I've also seen loads of these cars in the junkyard that were in wrecks and never saw the seat mounting bolts broken. Rigged? I kinda remember NBC rigging Chevy pickups to explode when crashed in the side. They rig the test to get the outcome they desire. Why not crash them dead center?

I would like to see the 09 impala go against a 74 chevy impala with the 200 lb factory front bumper. I think the 09 would have fit in the trunk of the 74 after the crash test.
