Hi Guys,
I mailed out "ups ground" the test models yesterday. Sent a total of 8 dual axis test models to the first 8 that responded. Anyone that gets one please let me know your thoughts. Thanks, Rick |

Hi Rick,
You started out with “giving away” 2 SLOPE INDICATORs, then up’ed the ante to give away 6 more for FREE… then you paid shipping on all 8 units… I stand and applaud you…! Different times, I’ve seen your responses on TBN and you’ve always gone that extra mile… it’s no fluke… you’re just a great guy with your business… I know other TBN’ers will take notice… By the way, from the pictures, the “wide 50 degree angle” sure looks like a winner… I wish you all the best for your new products success… but then again, you’re at the helm… Why wouldn’t they be?... Crossing my fingers and toes hoping I'm number 8
But, with my luck, I'll be number 9 |

John Miller III, AND Bird,
And all you guys. Thanks!!!!! What Friends. Hope I can always live up to your respect. You all have mine! I'm speachless, and that's a first. I don't expect everyone to like the new dual axis. However, for the simple in-expensive design, I believe it works well for its intended purpose. I believe it will help save lives. I tried numerous, and I mean numerous designs. All had some type of flaws. The one I decided on has one moving part, that is designed to never stick or drag. If anything, it might move a little too freely. Rather have it that way, than to take a chance of one sticking. The counter weight on the pendulum was a real bear to get just right. Not only the weight, but the location on the pendulum. The weight is a roller bearing.Every one weighs EXACALLY the same. The pivot of the pendulum shaft is a dual collar, shaft pivot point, with 20% contact of shaft to collars. This cuts down on drag, and allows free movement. I tried 70% contact, but it caused too much drag, and left possibility of sticking. When you test guys get yours, you will probably think " wow, pretty simple and easy to do." Ain't so!! Correct balance of all factors was tough to achieve. Love to design. Hate paper work. We had a tornado little over two weeks ago. Insurance man was out today. Said, "are you going to be able to get your office back in shape so you can keep the company going"??? Tornado was outside! Didn't touch my office!!! Hate paper work. Thanks FREINDS. Rick |

Wish I had been one of the first to respond, to put a tilt meter on my new Boomer that will be (hopefully) delivered Saturday. That would be a neat addition I think.
BTW, it was nice meeting you two in Louisville last February. Keep up the good work. Jerry |

Hey Guys,
Any chemical engineers out there? I have a favor to ask if so. I need to find an alternative to mercury in a switch. Would sulphuric acid conduct as well? Specs are : nominally 100% working at 2g level. lifetime 10 million closures @ 10G impact. Working electrical values: less than 12vdc less than 1oo ma or contact resistance less than 100 ohm. I'm not an electronic expert by far. Have trouble programming my vcr remote. I have a customer requesting 300,000 switches, non-mercury with these values. Anyone interested in helping? I believe, (but not sure) that sulphuric acid at 1400 specific gravity might work. Anyone got any input??? Thanks in advance. Rick |
