Hi lift, No Brains

Found this pic on another site. Susposedly snapped at DFW airport. These folks reach really has extended their grasp!!!

Lane ive run alot of machinery and a few lifts and have done some big things with them but i dont think and a million years id have the testicles to do so. That looks like a Liquid oxygen accumulator. It looks like the bottom lifts rear tires may be off the ground. Plus the 2 dioits on the top have no idea that some things like lift forks can snap.

It's a good thing they didn't have to go any higher or they probably would have thrown a third fork lift into the mix

Agreed. Really stupid. Particullary the two on the upper fork truck. Darwin in action.

You can get in trouble with lifts in so many ways.

Many years ago I worked for a company that made all fork truck drivers go to a two day long "school". Part of it was a video of all the possible screw ups in recorder fork truck history. You would not bieleve the stuff that people do with these things.

The part I always use to hate was taking the fork truck on the elevator! Yes they claimed it was designed for it, and it had an offical looking rating sticker but man that made me nervous. You could go from about the 5 floor to the first floor and get off on any floor in between. It had toggle buttons that would allow you to move the elevator up an inch or so at a time in addition to the regular floor buttons. These were critical because if you went from the 5th floor to the first floor with a truck and skid, you found yourself at least a good foot below the first floor! And I'm not so sure that's an American crew.

It was "tongue-in-cheek" humor, although Mexico is part of North "America" [img]/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]. We have a lot of those other "American" worker here in our area.

They are doing a large construction project at DFW and this wouldn't surprise me. The company involved has had many accidents and OSHA problems. Look at the crew... no safety belts, hardhats, or brains...in my opinion. All the ingenuity in the world won't do you a bit of good if you are dead. I've always had the saying that "accidents only happen to stupid people." I know it's not true, but I don't believe the odds in this case would prove it wrong.
