Not tractor related, but this was published in today's paper: A 65 year old Shiawassee County farmer died after being trapped under a pile of soybeans in a silo. He was trying to fix a mechanical problem which had hung up the soybeans, and they suddenly broke loose and buried him. He was a GM retiree with 30 years of service.

Ugh...I have read about deaths caused by falling earcorn, but not by soybeans. Very sad.

Sadly, not at all uncommon in this area, it happens about every year, many times the victim can be saved, but other times it is too late.

Any type of farming is very dangerous. Everyone needs to stop, think about what your doing, and figure out the safest {not the quickest} way to do the task at hand.
