I guess that's part of the problem: when you live on a lake, everything starts to look like a boat.

I'm guessing he will be hearing from the rental company about that...or maybe he'll just let it dry out for a day or three, then tell them it quit working for some reason.

Good thing he wasn't in New Hampshire. The EPA would fine the crap out of him for petroleum pollutants in state waters. Every year we have snow mobiles go through the ice (or try skimming) and get nailed.
