just watched a similar video of a car being righted, and then rolled away into the
woods across the street
it looked like they were blaming the excavator operator!

It looked to me like the excavator operator could have kept the bucket hooked to the chain long enough for someone to chock the wheels. Did I miss something?

They recovered the backhoe, now they get to do it again, likely with more damage.

100 percent agree.. the ex operator let go of the lifting strap by dropping the bucket on the excavator. If he had held on to it, they could have saved it. I put the fault on the excavator operator.
