Accidents come down to poor judgement of the situation. Either before or after the accident. Then the excuses. Good judgement prevents almost all accidents.

I agree, but only in general terms; for one example, some "accidents" are caused by a mechanical or electrical failure that cannot possibly be anticipated.

You should always check a tree's condition before driving past it.

Especially if it's a manufacturer's defect inside where you can't see it. If the "accident" is caused by someone else and not within your control, that's poor judgement on their part, not yours.
