You see quite a few antique tractors at shows set up like this. My dad even had a Ford 9N with a cord wood saw similar to this one on it. 50 years ago people didn't think twice about using something like this. Now I'd be terrified.

Please don't show that picture to Henro or he'll be adding one of those blades to his Mad Max Kubota. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I've considered taking my IH cub.. or even my allis G. yep.. alotta walking.

And yes.. it is nice to meet people we 'talk' to every day.

At the little show I go to in starke, I've met half a dozen people from a few of the websites I visit.

maybee november we can shake hands?

I have seen similar saws on Ebay and in some of my tractor books. Most had at least a table to set the log or board on. They did not look much safer.

However, even with the safety shields on them, circular saws, tables saws ect are kinda scary too if you think about it. Or, look at a drill or drill press; imagine getting caught up in one of those. Or, a chainsaw...

We have safer tools now, but still have lots of potentail for injury.
