That's so you can smell the "money." :D
  88. Re: Converting 5093E 3pt hitch stabilizers to square male / female telescoping type

No sir, I paid about $12K more for the M than the E, but that was 5 years ago.
Depending on the options you choose, I'm guesstimating that would be the spread. For example, ordering an M with...
  89. Re: Converting 5093E 3pt hitch stabilizers to square male / female telescoping type

    Brown Dog,
Glad to hear it. That may be the next goody that I get for my E.

BTW, a right hand door hardware kit is a little over $300 for your 5E series. Well worth the $$$. My son and I...
  90. Re: Converting 5093E 3pt hitch stabilizers to square male / female telescoping type

If you don't want to feel "slighted," just pony up the additional $12-15K for the M series. It comes with all the "goodies." :D

    The E stands for Economy. I have a 5085M and a 5083E. Yes, the M...

    Re: Grease

Yep. And greasing regularly is better than not.
And good quality grease is better than the cheap stuff.

You want to use a grease that's rated for extreme pressure. (EP)
    One that I've used for...

Re: John Deer H1110 Disk - Any Good?

4 of them listed for sale on tractorhouse.com
Looks like a little smaller and lighter version of the JD TW that I have. Should be a good disk. It will be all your tractor can handle.
    As Jeff...

Re: In search of a Round Baler...

    5030 gave good advice.
Twine tie. Stay away from the chains.

I would add that in my area, Vermeer, JD, and NH make up probably 90% of the round balers. All three are good machines.
    You want an...

Re: Share Pics of People Hauling or Towing Something Wrong

I've actually hauled a steer to the slaughter house on a flatbed before. But, he was dead. I had to shoot him after he escaped from a moving stock trailer!
    BTW, we "hog-tied" his feet...
  96. Re: Flail or finish mower to mow a "resting" hayfield?

I think either one would work. I agree with what's already been said about the flail vs. finish, but I'm not sure that you have enough tractor to use either one.

Re: Looking at buying a new tedder...

Here's the link to Ranch Rite

Never heard of them, but that means nothing. The only tedder that I've ever used is Vermeer. I don't own one, but I've borrowed one several times, and that's the...

Re: 2016 Hay season started for me.

Well, I was wondering if it was time to start the 2016 Hay season thread, and I find out that I'm late to the party. (already 5 pages of posts)

I applied lime and fertilizer (chicken poop) in...
  99. Re: Why do most tractors with FEL's.........................

Bruce got it. DIRT. If the rod is on top, dirt builds up on the gland seal and it starts leaking sooner.

    Re: 5403 won't fire

    OK, good for you.
Now, are you going to post the solution, or are you going to make everyone read their owner's manual?
