    I took it back to the guy who rebuilt the engine and he said the head gasket blew so i assume he did not have it torqued to spec and the valves were not adjusted properly

    float is fine, and fuel getting into carb. i have spark and when plug is pulled air blows out of the hole pretty good. dont know why its not enough to get fuel to plug....

    a 1250 originally came with a 12 hp kohler engine. someone has deffinitely changed it out.....try it out and see if it will do what u need.

    thankyou, i did clean the carb the other day and did get the lawn mowed. I am gonna pour my fuel thru some cloth every time i pour into gas tank. Hopefully that will keep the trash out............Don

    JTKub is correct, you should always use the choke to start it....i am in the south like you and have to choke a cold engine to get it started....i had that problem this year with my cub not running...
