  1. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

    Craig,

I would guess it's a combination of things, low screen brightness, maybe poor camera automatic exposure control, etc.

I have a system, sold on Amazon, from Backup Camera System | Rear...
  2. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

Ah, the vagaries of radio - - love it! Being an old electronics technician USN 63-70, here's a guess:

If the radio worked will with the camera on before your tragic accident, but now it does not,...
  3. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

I'm not a gamblin' man, but if I were (and I hadn't already lost it all), my money would be on "nuttin honey". Bet ol' wax still has the same tractor and hoe. After all, it's gem of a tractorthat...

Oh, you didn't mention ALL the options. I was trying to figure if that bucket would hold two.

  5. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

    Waxman,

Okay, so the JD has a close in bucket . . . BUT . . . that also translates to shorter FEL arms and lower lift height. If you are trying load into a high sided trailer, or reach in and...
  6. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

    Waxman,

You are saying that you would leave the hoe on the tractor, does that mean you don't use 3-point attachments, or would you remove the hoe and then put it back on the tractor for...
  7. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

In the 70's I was a cop in Oakland, CA, last 3 years of that, an evidence tech. They sent me to FBI bomb school, and one of the examples of an anti-personnel bomb was a Zippo, just leave it on a park...
  8. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

It's rare to hear someone say, "Gee, I wish it was a little smaller." Except when they are looking at:

    A) Their house on fire.

    B) Someone else's posterior.

    C) Their own belly.

    But never a...
  9. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

Thanks! I was going to edit and add the engineers were waving around "orange" slide rules, but then figured that might be a bit much. It's pretty bad when you re-read and laugh at your own stuff -...
  10. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

    Waxman,

In the end, it comes down to doing what *you* want. That decision should be driven by just you.

I think your tractor looks good with full fenders - the big tires. And the big backhoe...
  11. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

    UPI Dateline 07/2016

In what can only be called a freak accident, a hapless gentleman managed to climb onto the nicely shaped roof of his Kubota tractor to save himself after he accidentally, and...
  12. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

OOOW! Sounds like that guy yelling up at the depressed individual on the building ledge, . . . Jump! Do it!

Listen to the little angel on your left shoulder sayin', "no way!", not that little red...
  13. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

    I understand.

The hoe to tractor adapter you show is pretty much like the one I have on my B3350 cap to BH77. It moves the hoe 10" aft to make room for the seat as otherwise the rear glass would...
  14. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

Oh, I'm sure it could be done. More than the average home shop would be up to, designing and cutting 1" or thicker steel plate to make a sub-frame or sub-frame adapter to fit the bigger tractor to...
  15. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

On the larger hoe, BH92, shown is a hydraulic thumb. From the photo that looks to be a single acting cylinder, unless the retract hose is hidden on the other side???

Curious as I'm in the process...
  16. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

    Waxman,

So, lemme get this straight . . . you are *seriously* considering dumping that orange compilation of many hundreds of hours of lovingly obsessive gold plate for a veritable mound of green...
  17. Re: WaxMan's Modifications to the 2013 Grand L 3240 cab

My neighbor has green. The 3 point lower arm attach points are bolted through aluminum castings that support the rear axles, which are also supported by these aluminum gearboxes, one each side.

Inspired by Waxman's camera install, I plagiarized some of his ideas (thanks Waxman), and did some tweaking on my own:
