Re: pallet forks or grapple for boulders?

I painted the loops to eliminate confusion. Yellow lifting, red around boulder. Simple & cheap. 3/8" bolts at the connection points, shake the chains in a paint can & hang to dry.
  89. Re: Ever Ad a Coolant reservoir to their ASV RC100 radiator?

Oil peaks at 185 degrees during the heaviest of usage. The factory switch is set at 225 degrees according to the ASV parts manual.

When not mulching, it averages 130 degrees.
  90. Re: Ever Ad a Coolant reservoir to their ASV RC100 radiator?

RC100 radiators are next to each other, not in series. When mulching in 80 degree or more days, it's not unusual for my RC100 to water overheat in first 90 minutes of usage. It's really an airflow...

Re: Engine died. Your ideas please.

Good advice, I second the opinion on algae. This week, my RC100 quit running because the transfer tube between fuel tanks was plugged with algae. Fuel was 4 months old. Mechanic told me since sulfur...

    Re: How to sell equipment

Depending on your tax bracket, you could donate the stuff to a non profit and take the tax deduction. Maybe reduce capital gains on your farm. Ask a tax guy.

    The stand is...

    Re: Excavator for cleaning pond??

I cleaned up my cattails last summer with a york rake on the tractor loader. I used a skidsteer plate to 3 point adapter. Overall, it worked well when the banks had a slight slope. Backing up with...
  96. Re: actual repair cost by hour usage of skid crawler undercarriage

I don't know why there are two 4" holes in the skid plates. They originally had rubber plugs, but they got mulched a long time ago. The holes are not convenient access to anything. I figured...
  97. Re: actual repair cost by hour usage of skid crawler undercarriage

Higher track repair costs are typical to forestry usage. Turning on cutoff brush digs into the track. Debris get lodged into the undercarriage. Material in the track is impossible to see from...

    Re: Deep Snow

It's a great time to get those swampy areas when frozen. I'm bustin my butt right now in areas normally too wet to walk in, let alone get mulcher in there. There are advantages; machine runs cool, no...

    Smoke in the cockpit

Well, really not smoke, but a burning smell from the RC100 overhead console. The connector for the front flood lights was touching a bulb and causing burning, melting. The bulbs are 25w, which should...

    Re: Loftness Timber Ax question

I would trade my Timber Ax for a high flow snow blower if anyone is interested. It snows occasionally here in Buffalo.
