Re: Added eye bolts to mower deck

That sounds like a good setup. It's always the seemingly simple and non dangerous things that hurt or kill. Thanks for looking out. [emoji846]

Re: Added eye bolts to mower deck

Oldballs, No offense taken. I actually considered using bolts the same way you did. Not sure why I changed my mind. I guess I like to make more work for myself. It gives me more garage time! [emoji1]

Re: Added eye bolts to mower deck

Here's a couple more pictures. The chains attach to grab hooks (or the center shackle) on my pallet Fork frame. I know well enough to not work underneath a suspended load, and to stay out of the line...

Added eye bolts to mower deck

So, after a bit of indecision, I decided to add a couple of 5/8" forged eye bolts to my 60" mower deck. These give me a safe and strong place to hook my chains. The brackets that they are mounted...

    Re: Pallet Fork Mods

I got a chance to use the grab hooks today to lift my mower deck for blade removal and sharpening. It worked pretty well.505093505094

    Re: Pallet Fork Mods

Thanks. That was my thought. If I have something heavy to lift with the chains or a sling, I can remove the forks and just use the frame. It doesn't weigh much at all. Light weight + load close to...

    Pallet Fork Mods

I added (2) 5/16" grab hooks and a 2" hitch receiver to my pallet Fork frame. I intend to use the hooks to lift my mower deck vertically for cleaning. I'm sure I will find other uses as time goes...

Price Check Re: Max 24 price check

I was considering a Massey...and a Kubota. The Mahindra is more expensive, but it is one seriously stout tractor.

Mowing Re: Max 24 mower deck removal?

That's the video I saw. I am talking about the two rods that have springs on them coming off of the back of the deck. If I remember correctly, they run back to the 3 point arms. Can you get a picture...

Price Check Max 24 price check

    Hey everyone-
I got a quote from a dealer in SW Michigan for a Max 24 with a loader, 60" mid mount mower, and R4's. I was quoted:
    $18,125 for 0% for 60 months
    $17,325 for 2.99% for 60 months...

Mowing Max 24 mower deck removal?

    Hey everyone-
I am almost committed to buying a Max 24. The only thing stopping me is uncertainty regarding the removal of the mower deck. I have only found 1 video showing removal. My question is,...

    Re: GC1715 Rear fender deck...Plastic???

    Aaargh...
Thanks. What to do? I like so many features of the Massey: The hydro pedal layout, better hydraulics, non folding ROPS (that will clear my garage door), better warranty, cheaper price,...

    GC1715 Rear fender deck...Plastic???

    Hi everyone-

I have been lurking and researching for a while. I have narrowed my tractor choices to a Kubota BX 2370, or a Massey Ferguson GC1715. I read somewhere that the hood on the GC series...
