Buying Advice Re: Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

That's kind of what I thought. 496 hrs. at that point. They cleaned it up pretty well before dropping it off.

Buying Advice Re: Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

Well, pulled the trigger on the JD3320 (500 hours) with 300CX loader with heavy-duty 61" bucket and toothbar, 72" belly mower and 6' Landpride box blade. Serviced, shined up and delivered to my...

Buying Advice Re: Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

I'm not seeing anything that support $16k as a top dollar for a 3320 when looking at tractorhouse.com or ebay. Granted, those are asking prices, not selling prices, but still, the price I mentioned...

Buying Advice Re: Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

Yep, tested that today when I was at the dealer. Sure enough, it's there. I know it's not a huge deal, but that is a real turn-off when thinking about buying a brand-new tractor.

Buying Advice Re: Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

So, I think you're saying I need a rider (preferably ZT), a tractor with both MMM and RFM, a brush hog, box blade, straight blade, auger, back hoe, loader, pallet forks, plow, disc, harrow and wood...

Buying Advice Re: Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

I've got a small 42" riding mower now and I've gotten by with it just fine, but it also stopped raining about 2 months ago, so this summer is not a good gauge. I think if I do the deal, I'll mow up...

Buying Advice Re: Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

Well, I went and drove both machines today and they are both great, but the JD feels like a completely different tractor. It just feels heavier, smoother and more stable and has a few more bells and...

Buying Advice Re: Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

Any concerns about not having an underbelly finish mower option?

Anyone have any comments on rear-finish mower vs. underbelly? For RFM, pull behind or 3-pt mount? Neither is a requirement, but if...

Buying Advice Re: Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

You're probably right. The prices I listed were list/asking price. I haven't done any haggling, yet.

Yep, they've got an L3200 with loader for $17,600. Again, about $20 per month difference.

Buying Advice Re: Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

For reference, I've currently got a Ford Jubilee that I've been using for brush-hogging and that's about it. So, anything in this class is going to be worlds better.

    Also, is the HP difference...

Buying Advice Deciding between L3800 and JD3320

I live on 10 acres and plan to use the tractor for landscaping, road maintenance, snow clearing, digging, spreading, brush-hogging, possibly finish-mowing (more on that later), food plots and just...
