I thought I'd jump in here and share my experiences...
I have 3 Mahindra's starting with a 6000 mfwd the pre 30 series tractors. The 6000 is 6 years old now and I've had 0 problems with it other...

    Re: 3316 to 3616

I'm going to have to start saving advertising literature. It's a lot easier to compare when you have the specs side by side. I had considered trading, but doesn't look like there's much to be gained....

If it's non turbo unlike the 3215 and 3316 what did they do to the engine to gain 3-4 hp especially dropping the turbo?

    3316 to 3616

With the specs for the 3316 gone from the Mahindra website I have no way to compare. What exactly changed from 3316 to 3616 besides hp, tires, and loader?

    Re: Used planter

    Ken,
Ever deal with Farm Credit on financing one of those 2 row planters? Also on used vegetable transplanters?
I saw them advertising 3% interest not too long ago. If you can borrow money at 3%...

    Re: Used planter

Yes...they are very nice. I guess I was just expecting a little less, but given the price of corn I'm not surprised. The 2 row would certainly make short work of 5 acres!

Price Check Re: Mahindra financing and price check

Throw in the multiple financers (Agricredit, Mahindra, and others) and you are pretty much at the dealers mercy. You have to hope he will give you the best options. Seems too much like buying a car...

    Re: Used planter

Real nice, but OUCH! It would take forever to get a payback on one that expensive 10 acres of corn and pumpkins a year. May be a better route though.
Is anyone else making them new for small scale...

    Used planter

I was thinking of growing a few acres of corn this summer. That would put me in the market for a good used planter. Can someone suggest some of the better makes & models and where to look? Would like...

Re: National Farm Machinery Show Louisville, KY

I'll be there! I'm looking at larger tractors, square hay accumulators & grapples, and other various 3 pt equipment. I always seem to see something I just can't live without!

Re: Mahindra 10 series vs. 30,20 and 35 series

I have a 10 series, 15 series, and 00 series....of the 3 the 10 series is hardest to start when cold. It does have lower gears in the gear trannies but imo it has a weaker tranny. Just my experience.

Personally I'd only fill the back tires and get a HST!

Price Check Re: 2003 Mahindra 5500 Price check

Sounds like a good deal to me...dealer or private sale? I'm going to be putting my 05 Mahindra 6000 4x4 with Great Bend FEL up at $15,000 and it has a tick over 1100 hours.

    Buying Advice Re: New 5010?

5530 is more of an Ag Utility type tractor. I have the 6000 4x4 (and 7010 cab and 3316HST) and I used it for everything here on my 172 acre farm before the 7010 came around. Still some things I use...

    Re: 3710 backhoe subfarme pins

I looked over the Mahindra exploded diagram and no size...it tells you what size lynch pins but not the subframe pins. I can tell you a 1 1/16 pin will not fit. Makes sense for it to be a 1 inch pin....
